Park Lenox Emergency Medicine is comprised of physicians board certified in
emergency medicine
that provide emergency medicine services solely to Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. For many years the emergency department at Lenox Hill Hospital was under the tutelage of Lenox Hill Emergency Medicine Services, PC. In early 2008, under the vision of its new chairman, Dr. Robert Femia, the practice of emergency medicine at Lenox Hill underwent major restructuring with the goal of achieving the highest quality patient care and satisfaction. Starting in January, 2009, our group became known as Park Lenox Emergency Medicine, PC.
Under the leadership of Dr. Robert Femia, Chairman of Emergency Medicine, Dr. Carl Ramsay, Associate Chairman, and Ms. Carleigh Gustafson, Nursing Director of Emergency Services, the Emergency Department at Lenox Hill Hospital has consistently improved and now scores in the 95-99% across multiple measurements of patient satisfaction as reported by Press-Ganey. We continually strive to identify and improve processes that add value for our patients.
Nursing
Under the leadership of Ms. Carleigh Gustafson, RN, emergency department nursing is vibrant at Lenox Hill Hospital. A collaborative approach between physician and nursing staffs has led to a cohesive, friendly approach to caring for our patients. The ER employs a full time nursing educator, and has low nursing turnover.

Our physicians are a diverse group; men and women who represent the full spectrum of clinical practice: from those early in their Emergency Medicine Career, mid-career and those with multiple years of ER experience.
We recruit nationally; many of our physicians have trained at some of the best Emergency Medicine Residency Programs in the country.
